The women of First Presbyterian has a Coordinating Team who meets the first Tuesday of each month, September through June, in the church parlor.  It consists of duly installed officers, representatives from each of our Circles as well as a member-at-large.   Each year, we contribute to Thank Offering, Birthday Fund, and Least Coin, all of which are part of the mission work of the ladies of Presbytery.  We also support Kemmerer Village, Church World Services, the Inter-Cambio Mission, the Lincoln Sargent Farm Foundation, Marion Medical Mission as well as various mission trips.

Food and Fellowship are a large part of our activities, we host several lunches during the year after worship service.  The women provide funeral dinners and coordinate receptions for birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries.   We also try to host a special event each year for the ladies.  We hosted the SEIL Spring Gathering this year.   Honorary Life Memberships are awarded to deserving women who go above and beyond in their service to God and our church.

We initiate the “hanging of the greens”  in prep for the holiday season and enjoy hosting a refreshment/fellowship period after the Coles County Barber Shopper’s Christmas concert.

We support all committee functions in our church, support youth summer camps, Kid’s Club, Jr. & Sr. High youth programs, our church’s Sunshine Brigade, as well as Camp New Hope and our local food pantry.  Our goal is to continue raising funds to continue our support.
