Website Policy & Quality Guidelines

The First Presbyterian Church of Mattoon is dedicated to ensuring that all First Church website correspondence, information, photographs, calendars, events, and other news items related to the life of First Church and its congregation reflects the highest levels of accuracy and timeliness possible.

In order to accomplish this goal, the Board of Elders (Session) of First Presbyterian Church of Mattoon directs the congregational members to present all vital information, new items, reports, photographs, events, information corrections, etc. to the secretary in the First Church office, who will compile these items and forward them to the First Church webmaster on Tuesdays and Thursdays weekly.

Materials placed on the website shall comply with all guidelines as outlined the Presbyterian Book of Order and the Constitution and By-Laws of First Presbyterian Church of Mattoon.

Internet Usage Policy

Computer/internet usage at First Presbyterian Church of Mattoon shall be limited to the First Church minister, secretary, treasurer, assistant treasurer, officers (Elders and Deacons), staff, teachers, and congregational members and families only for collecting, compiling, and assembling religious documents, projects, educational and religious information, business and religious e-mail correspondence, Presbytery education and information, and research related to the life, ministry, and mission goals of First Church. All other computer/internet usage is not allowed nor will it be permitted.
