Lexi was born and raised in Mattoon, Illinois. She grew up with an older brother, Clayton and a twin sister, Mika. She graduated from Mattoon High School in 2017 and pursued a career in childcare after graduation. She completed an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education in 2022. Lexi has worked with children of many ages since high school, taking courses and completing practicum hours in elementary education and other daycare settings. During the week, Lexi works full-time for a daycare in Mattoon named Building Blocks, where she works as the head teacher for the infant room. A former professor of Lexi’s reached out with the FPC ad looking for a nursery worker and she thought it was meant to be.

Lexi enjoys spending her free time with friends and family. She loves spending time outdoors with her nephew Oaklee. Lexi and her significant other Alec bought a house in September of 2022 and welcomed their furry friends to a forever home. She has a love of animals, caring for 2 dogs (Scout and Koda) and 4 cats (Fynn, Dezie, Onyx and Harry). In their spare time, Lexi and Alec love making home improvements. Lexi enjoys watching TV shows and movies on the weekends, and spends colder nights by the fireplace. She will be welcoming a baby girl in January of 2024, thus making her family complete.

Lexi has an amazing passion for working with children. She is excited to work with the nursery group at FPC and watch the children thrive and learn. Working with children is truly her calling, and she has so much to offer at FPC!
